Get Well card for my Senior Thesis. Decided to have a little fun with songbird of the eastern US! The two small birds on the left side are the black-throated blue warbler, and the american redstart. Above them is a blue jay. To the right, we have the northern cardinal, baltimore oriole (a female one, for good measure!!), and a fox sparrow.
Admittedly not my favorite of my thesis work, but many others seemed to really gravitate towards this piece. Either way, I sure did learn a lot about birds and their anatomy! Never woulda thought that a cardinal had translucent-like wings when in flight...
Aww... birdies! >w< I love birds, I really do, and this picture is adorable. The Blue Jay is so pudgy, I want to poke it, and I love the cardinal's translucent wings.
This is a great picture... the birds all look so happy! ^-^ And the colouring is great, too. You can practically make out every feather. This is a definate favourite. <3

Wonderfully drawn! I love how you've captured the Jay mid-caw, and the others too! Great use of colour, and that fox sparrow is just too cute with those spots!
